Voices of the Vanguard is an educational music and visual-learning project from Mhewy Productions. The series combines original songs, historical storytelling, coloring-book art, and activity-based learning to help families and educators begin meaningful conversations about Black and African history.

Each volume introduces a new group of figures and gives learners several ways to engage: listening, reading, coloring, writing, and reflecting. The goal is not to replace deeper study, but to open the door to it. Voices of the Vanguard invites every learner to hear history, ask questions, and discover how the past continues to speak to the present.

A Growing Collection
Volume 1 introduces eleven voices, from Imhotep in ancient Egypt to the leaders of the civil rights movement. More volumes are on the way, each with new songs, new stories, and a new activity book. Meet the Volume 1 voices →
